I would think the GDF15 marker could determine the efficacy of compounds such as Urolithin A. No major published Urolithin A randomized trials have reported GDF15 as a primary or secondary outcome (they focused on performance metrics, acylcarnitines, inflammation markers, and muscle molecular signatures). One ongoing or registered trial involving Urolithin A in people with higher BMI lists serum GDF15 as an exploratory endpoint, which suggests researchers are starting to consider it relevant.

Need to check for low thyroid and if TSH elevated, use lights over thyroid.

Decreased from 11 to 5.8

GDF15 could be the link of Metabolic Syndrome and Psychiatric Disorders, specially in the view of Brain Energy Hypothesis? Is GDF15 elevated in metabolic Syndrome? Does it rise soon after a high energetic meal? So many questions and so little time!

This certainly makes sense to me as an endurance athlete....this mechanism could be under the "central governors" theory. But from real experience, the brain does notice when the body is running low. It also makes evolutionary and adaptive sense.

It's why I use photobiomodulation to recharge Mitochondrial function and use Mitochondrial supplements

Interesting theory about GDF15, making it a kingpin of stress indicators. What is the half life of GDP15?

In this proposal, GDF15 is one route the state of the cell becomes information. But cells also emit ultraweak photons that reflects aspects of their metabolic and redox state. Is ultraweak photon emission merely another visible trace of that state, alongside GDF15 or does the optical pattern carry more biologically usable information?

Does GDF15 have any photonic interactions or relationships?
